Skill x Swap is a peer-to-peer skills exchange where people teach what they know and learn from each other. This season, businesses can fund learning credits for people in community programmes, or give them to their own people.
Fund learning in communities
Your credits are held for people taking part in community programmes. We find suitable programmes, allocate the credits to participants' Skill x Swap accounts and keep you updated on how they're allocated.
Give learning as a gift
Buy a total number of credits for employees, colleagues or customers. After payment you securely list each recipient's email address and how many credits they should receive.

How gifting works
- 1Your business buys a total number of learning credits.
- 2After payment, you securely submit each recipient's email address and how many credits they should receive.
- 3Skill x Swap allocates the credits to recipients' verified Global member accounts.
- 4Credits for recipients who don't yet have an active account stay pending until they join, verify their email and complete sign-up.
Questions
What can a credit be used for?
One credit pays for one one-way exchange in the Skill x Swap Global community, where a member learns from another member. Reciprocal swaps, where two members teach each other, are always free.
When do gift recipients receive their credits?
We add credits by hand after you've submitted your recipient list, so it won't be instant. Recipients who don't yet have an account receive their credits once they've joined, verified their email address and completed sign-up.
Do I need a Skill x Swap account to buy?
No. Checkout is handled securely by Stripe; you'll just need an email address for your receipt.
Will I get sponsor recognition?
Community sponsors receive a Gift of Learning 2026 badge for their tier to use on their website or social channels.
